The Productivity Method podcast by Grace Beverley recently had on guest Caroline Hiron, skincare and beauty guru to have an honest conversation about the industry, and how to has an interview with Caroline Hiron about skincare. She mentions her top tips for having clean and clear skin and the products she actually recommends.
I’m no skincare buff, but I like to do my research when it comes to picking and choosing what I’m going to purchase and put on my face. Limiting alcohol and getting a good sleep are a good place to start, but what can else can we do?
I am innately distrustful of the claims made on products and within the skincare industry. Despite influencers and adds telling us what will or won’t work, I’m convinced they’re taking advantage of our insecurities to sell us products costing $100+ for 30ml of product.
In an oversaturated market and people pushing products at us left and right, how are we supposed to figure out what to spend our hard-earned money on?
I recently listened to an episode of Grace Beverley’s podcast, “Working Hard, Hardly Working”, with guest Caroline Hiron. As a skincare noob, I hadn’t heard of her before, but quickly took to her no nonsense attitude when it came to what products to add to your skincare routine.
If you want to listen to the episode, you can find it here.

3 Best Skincare Tips for Healthy Skin
Are you ready? Here they are:
- Don’t sleep in your makeup
- Buy a good SPF
- Don’t smoke
Sounds pretty straightforward right? Does it maybe stress you out a little less too? As it turns out, while money can certainly make it easier to maintain a youthful appearance, it's totally possible to get a start on healthy aging by following these tips.
Anti-Aging is Out, Healthy Aging is In
Another thing Caroline stresses is that the earlier you start, the less kind of 'corrective treatments' you need as you get older. That means don't forgo sunscreen!
She is also passionate about changing the conversation around anti-aging products. Instead, she believes in 'healthy aging' which honestly, makes a lot more sense. We know we can't reverse it, so let's age gracefully!
How to Build a Skincare Routine
If you're new to skincare and overwhelmed with the options and have no idea where to start, or just looking to revamp your current product lineup, Caroline Hiron has a really cool app that can help.
- Use her app Skin Rocks! One of the things that sets Caroline apart is that she prides herself on her integrity and doesn't allow brands to pay to be represented. This means all of her opinions are unbiased as she has nothing to gain from promoting one brand over another.
- Once you download the app, you can select your skin concerns from the options, add your budget, and they’ll recommend what to do. This can help you build a routine if you really don't know where to start!
Listening to the interview, I was struck by her integrity and honesty. Her ability to cut through the noise and chaos of the oversaturated skincare industry and just be a good person had me instantly like her. It’s so rare to find people who you feel you can trust, and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to her.

Please note that I have not personally tried these, and they are solely what Caroline stated she loved. I also do not receive any kind of commission if you use these links. I couldn't find them all so if you do, leave a comment below!
